You are invited to apply for participation in Maple Shade’s Annual Sidewalk Sale & Festival with Car Show, scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 10, 2016, on Main Street between Fellowship Road and Coles Avenue. In case of inclement weather, the alternate date is Saturday, September 17, 2016. Admission is free to the public.
This event is co-hosted by the Maple Shade Advisory Board of Commerce, the Maple Shade Rotary Club and the Maple Shade Business Association. Proceeds benefit the Township’s Holiday Lighting & Celebration Fund. Our Sidewalk Sale & Festival with Car Show is a fabulous, fun filled family event with live entertainment, craft vendors, new merchandise, information booths, free drawings, food vendors, costumed characters, a children’s fun area and car show.
This is a family fun day and we appreciate the cooperation we have had in the past. Vendors selling products which are not family friendly or likely to cause problems will be asked by the Maple Shade Police Department to remove such items. Products which are inappropriate include, but are not limited to, the following: Silly String, shaving cream, pocket knives, cigarette lighters shaped like weapons, snaps or any other novelty explosive.
As a prospective participant, I would encourage you to register early to ensure a space in this annual event that draws over 20,000 people. Vendor spots are 10′ x 10′ and located outside. Selection will be based on the following criteria: First priority will be given to Main Street Businesses for the spots in front of their store front, Second priority will be to returning participants from last year; Third priority will be to Maple Shade Businesses and organizations that did not participate last year and finally to all other new participants. You will receive a confirmation postcard upon receipt of your completed application and payment. Information packets with permits, parking, and space assignments will be sent out 7 days prior to event.
